OK, so what’s happening today?
Not much really. I’m busy trying to get ready for my weekend away in Edinburgh. There’s 12 of us going up for the weekend. Drinking and eating are the main items on the agenda, but we may fit in a bit of snowboarding on Saturday afternoon.
The reason for the trip? Well, we all turn 30 in the next couple of months and thought that rather than have a family celebration we’d see how much beer we can drink in Edinburgh’s strip clubs instead.
Ok, what else? Played in a CS match last night, but got subbed at half time as I am super-pant0r#1 at the moment and can’t hit anything :-(.
Played a bit of Q3A as well, but got slaughtered :-(
Er, that’s about it really. Need to go into town tomorrow morning to buy a suit and pick up my contacts and then its off to sunny Edinburgh!!!!
So, no updates I guess over the weekend, full match report on Monday.

OK, today’s topic : Bootlegging.
If you’re over 30 bootlegging means taping a concert on a crappy little recorder you sneaked through security. The quality was usually awful and the band sounded like they were singing with tights over their heads. If they DID have tights over their heads you should see someone.
Bootlegging today means taking an acapella version of a song and laying it over a ‘classic’ instrumental.
The most famous is probably the Sugarbabes “Freak like me” which features them singing over a Gary Numan track.
The most popular though is Eminem’s “Without me”. Boom Selection currently has over 30 of these uploaded with another 55 or so to come.
My favourite is possibly “Without Wings”, Eminem over Wings “Stupid Love Songs” although the Eminem vs The Pot Black Theme Tune deserves a mention ;-)
Take a look at the main site here as well for other tracks and news.
Also, Dsico has a stack of stuff, how-to’s and even an album release (Ok, it’s a home burnt CD).
Hello to Donna, who was chatting with me last night in the pub about all this sort of stuff.
Er, that’s about it. Ordered my GF4 Ti4200 yesterday, should be fitting early next week. Will let you know how easy/difficult it is.

So, what’s happened today?
Good things: My copy of Quake 3 Arena arrived this morning for my PC. I have played briefly on my brother’s set up but never for real ;-)
Also, my copy of Medal of Honour arrived for my PS2 ;-)
Bad things: Bloody Servista, the telephone company I stopped using in December but who insisted on billing me for a further 5 months, have STILLNOT REFUNDED ME!!! They owe me £45 and keep saying they will send me a cheque or credit my account but they do neither.. FFS!!!
Also, last night, I kept losing voice comms in CS? It was fine for the first 30 minutes but then cut out. I have to restart CS to get it working again and no-one knows why….
Other good things: I have found a GF4 ti4200 for less than £150 on Dabs… Hmm, bargain.. Ordering today along with a new soundcard (which may just cure my voice woes)….
OK, more later. Oh, BTW, ignore the time stamp on this thing. If you really think I’m updating this at 6 in the morning you are waaay wrong…

Well, here we go, day one of the blog.
First, a bit about me. My name is Mark, I am 29 and live in the NW of England.
What this blog is for: daily updates of what I'm up to, stuff I've done, films I've watched, music I've listened to etc...
So..... Yesterday, played Counter-Strike with my clan -AoN- (my clan as in I belong to them, not the other way round. -AoN- special_k). Check out the pages at www.efficientdeath.com/aon/ . Played OK but I am really dropping off form at the moment, never seem to have a really good day. They had a match later on, read the report on the same pages.
Also visited my Mum and Dad as I hadn't seen them for 7 weeks as they've been away on holiday for 5 weeks and they're about to go away again for 10 weeks. Thought it best I visit and break bread with them etc. Gotta think of that inheritance kids!
Popped round to my mate's house and had a play with his new Mini Cooper radio controlled car.
Watched X-files. Now, wanna make this clear. I am not some huuuge geeky x-files fan who owns them all on video and can recite the script from episode 2 of series 1 Mulder admits to liking spinach or anything, but GA is fit. But the series? What on Earth are they on about now? It has gone completely off the rails and is making no sense whatsoever. Too many plots and subplots and just nonsense going on...
Last film watched : Dogma. Bough this on video last week, very funny, highly recommended....
Last album listened to : As heard on Radio Soulwax, Pt 2 . "2 many DJs". Had this on this morning in the shower. Very bizarre mix of various different pop songs and bootlegs, available from www.amazon.co.uk, just do a search for soulwax. Its a Belgian import but only about 12 quid or something.
More on bootlegging later.
Anyway, back to work.
